This session was nearly all of my wedding dreams come true. Being a true un-traditionialist we kept it real to my style combining Heidi and Max’s personalities and creating somewhat of a boho, “chillaxed” wedding vibe. ULTIMATE WEDDING GOALS!
Max is an old childhood friend of mine and one of the coolest looking hipsters I have ever seen. When I asked max about the shoot he was totally down! I only had one stipulation, do not cut off your gorgeous locks….ever. I met his kick-ass partner in crime Heidi the morning of the shoot and we instantly clicked. You know when you just find your “people”?… Well, I found them!
We spent the morning prepping with the very talented Michelle Cato – Makeup Artist & Hair Stylist before we took off to wander the earth creating some truly magical memories. Laced in the gorgeous Sara gown by Zavana from our friend Tanya from Cheboom Bridal Boutique and topped off with a huge bunch of Aussie florals from our seriously gifted florist friends over at Shique Floral Design.
I honestly couldn’t have dreamt of a more loved up couple to photograph. Max & Heidi have now been together for a little over 4 years and just are so in tune with each other. They are laid back, outgoing, wild and always up for an adventure. It made the session so much fun and I honestly can’t wait until they get married for real!
I truly admire couples who think outside the box and dare to be a little different on their wedding day. Traditions are all well and good if you feel they represent you as a couple and what you want for your wedding day but I adore that couples have the balls to just “do them”. Because after all its YOUR wedding, no one else’s. Be as quirky and adventurous as you like, you only have one day – make it completely and utterly you.
