Jess & Connor’s day was the perfect mix of coastal charm and garden magic. From getting ready in a dreamy Bowentown Airbnb to saying “I do” beneath the lush greenery of Waihi’s Waterlily Gardens, every moment felt like something out of a fairytale. Their ceremony was full of heart and heritage, with beautiful Māori and Celtic traditions woven in, before celebrating the night away surrounded by their favourite people.
The Waterlily Gardens is one of those venues where everything from ceremony, photos, and reception flows effortlessly in one place. Romantic, private, and surrounded by nature, it’s the kind of backdrop that makes your love story shine even brighter.

FALLS RETREAT WEDDING
OWHAROA FALLS
Eden & Mike’s love story began with a Tinder match and turned into the sweetest forever. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, they tied the knot in the heart of Karangahake Gorge at the beautiful Falls Retreat. With the sound of Owharoa Falls in the background and lush bush all around, their ceremony felt intimate, natural, and full of magic.
After saying “I do,” we snuck across the road to the waterfall for portraits - one of my all-time favourite spots in the North Island. Between the charm of the Retreat, the dreamy ceremony setting, and a waterfall backdrop straight out of a postcard, this Waihi wedding was pure perfection.

Jordan & Dave tied the knot on their family property in Waihi with the most epic Bay of Plenty coastline views as their backdrop. Even when the rain rolled in, these two were all smiles proving that the best weddings are about love, not perfect weather (and let’s be real, overcast skies = dreamy photos!).
From arriving in Dave’s truck, to including their kids in the wedding party, to having Jordan’s 92-year-old grandfather there to celebrate, every detail made the day uniquely theirs. Relaxed, coastal, and full of heart, this Waihi wedding was pure magic.

Hey, I’m Ainslee! I grew up on the coast, so being near the water is in my genes. I’ll happily chase waterfalls, dip my toes in the ocean, or wander hidden beaches at golden hour. I’m all about hitting the road with no set plan, just a camera, good tunes, and plenty of snacks.
You’ll usually find me in activewear and Birks, ready to climb a lookout, explore magical forests, or dive into any adventure that comes my way.
I’m a Pepsi-fuelled, thrill-seeking sunset chaser who’s ticked off 23 countries (and counting!), skydived despite my fear of heights, and never says no to a fun day out. When I’m not adventuring, I’m hanging with my Cavoodle sidekicks Ziggy & Simba, hunting treasures at op shops, or planning the next trip with my bestie Wilson. I live for real connections, epic landscapes, and having a damn good time along the way.
